Nov 27 2009 - And when you write to Santa...
Old Time Radio recorded a wonderful Christmas album. There's very little records like that out there... actually no other comes to my mind at the moment. The thing is - the band wrote all the songs themselves. For a guitar, voices, percussion and with humor (the album starts with "I hate Christmas"). Lovely artwork, wonderful, warm atmosphere, a little lo-fi sound and a lot of heart.

I had a chance to sing with them on "Christmas With You". You can listen to this and other songs on the Old Time Radio's myspace.
ho ho ho.
Old Time Radio "Sketches For Another Christmas Songbook" costs 6 euro and is available to buy directly from the band.
Nov 27 2009 - After the shows
Many thanks to everyone who showed up on our gigs in Sopot, Warsaw and Olsztyn! We had a great time playing and every evening was a special one. We plan to repeat that at the beginning of 2010, along with some shows outside Poland. See you soon.

Nov 10 2009 - Michiru's album an Julia's guest appearance on it.
During my stay in Japan I had a great pleasure to work with Michiru - a wonderful young composer based in Tokyo. We played a show together, but we also worked on some songs which Michiru wrote and arranged and invited me to write lyrics for and sing. Now I am happy to announce that the fruits of this collaboration will see the light of the day on Michiru's first Album "World's End Village"!

"World's End Village" will be released on 5th of December in Japan and then in the rest of the world in 2010.
Tracklist :
1. World’s End Village/Rites of Beginning
2. Tin Soldier
3. The Thief -Nusubito-
4. Shrink
5. The Place Where We Will Be Reached
6. The Spinning Wheel
7. Lethe
You can listen to some of them on MICHIRU's MySpace.

Julia Marcell
Saho Terao

Mariko Ostuka
The album is a beautiful musical journey, filled with Michiru's original songs with orchestral arrangements based around piano, strings, guitar and drums. It has been produced by Keiko Shinozaki.
The songs I wrote the lyrics for and sing are called "The Thief - Nusubito-" and "The Spinning Wheel". You can also hear me on "World’s End Village/Rites of Beginning".

Sep 02 2009 - New music!
I made a cover of one of my favorite songs of Gods Of Blitz called "Protoman". It's now for your listening pleasure on my myspace player. The musicians who helped me with the recording are - Anna Prokopczuk on viola, Thomas Merkel on double bass and Jakob Kiersch on drums. Boris Breuer recorded the song in Studio Wong in Berlin.
If you're not familiar with Gods Of Blitz, I recommend that you check them out. They have new record coming out in September (I secretly heard it already and it rrrocks!).
Spot-the-differences: here's the original, Gods Of Blitz version of the song, live from Rockpalast.
Sep 01 2009 - Sehnsucht leben ein Ausnahmezustand
I have the great pleasure of being a part of the wonderful event, which will take place in DHM in Berlin on 6th of September. The museum describes it as "a German-Polish vision with music, literature and film, in the memory of Warsaw Uprising of 1944", but it's so much more than that. It's gonna be very colorful and intense evening for people who are interested in looking back at the complicated history of two neighboring nations, but the poetic nature of the event, the play with contrasts and metaphors will definitely be an emotional experience rather than a history lesson. Stephan Stroux is the heart and brain behind the show and on his website you can find more details (in German).
The music: Andrzej Sobieski (Pianist), Julia Marcell (with band), Jan Tilman Schade (Cello), Trommelgruppe Bando.
German will be the language of the evening.
